When you sit down with your catering manager to go over the details of your wedding ask questions and do not leave anything to guess work. If you thinking of getting some rented equipment (e.g. chairs, tables, linens, silverware, glassware etc) that your caterer does not provide free of charge, do your homework before you ask for them to be rented on your behalf.
Rentals are usually a very large bill, there is nothing i know of, that is cheap when it comes to catering rentals. That's way you want to book your affair with a caterer that has and provides everything you need for your big day. rule of thumb is: the more rentals you need to do, the less your caterer has to offer you; the less rentals.... the more the caterer has to offer you. is that simple; which bring me to never ending question/argument; to rent chair covers or not? that is the question. my take on the subject is simple; instead of renting chair covers to covered an already ugly chair, rent a beautiful ballroom chair which rents for about the same price as the chair cover. It looks very elegant and brings out the beauty of the room making it also more spacious...... more to come ........
