Memo to all caterers

Within the next two years or even less catering as the industry we all know from the late 80's to today, would have evolved so much, that not moving forward with the times and implementing new business practices could cost caterers a lot of money, even their own survival in such competitive business market. One of the things I'd suggest to catering business owners is to hop in the networking wagon (Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, Stumbleupon, Diggit, blogger) and so many other networking sites; not working with them would be like owning a business and not having a phone line or a fax machine.  This is the time when all brides had caught up with technology and know-how to internet, not only brides but all our costumers are networking and keeping pace with everyone at speeds never seen before. In order to our business to become even more successful networking is the way to go. Back in the old days the receptionist job was to answered the phone and transfer calls, Not anymore!,  Receptionist, sales people and every team member welcome to your new duties!  Twittering, Facebooking, youtubing, blogging, chatting, IM and more ......all of them so important to our business or any business for that matter, that companies are creating new positions within their ranks to do nothing but surf, networking, keeping up with past and future costumers and stay connected with what's going on in their industries... so why not catering? our industry is about 300 billion dollars a year.... (200 billion only from weddings) This is the new way of doing business, first hand, hardcore costumer service, maximizing profitability while taking care of costumers and planting seeds for new ones. the time has come to stop doing business the old fashion way and move forward with new energized attitude .... more at
